



Salvador Toscano (1872- 1947), is known as the "father" of the Mexican film industry. He was both an exhibitor an producer, having produced Mexico's first full length feature, Don Juan Tenorio in 1898.
A unique and irreplaceable work of Mexicos's cinema, today as ever, "Memories of a Mexican", offer a glimpse into a by gone era, and a priviledged view into the events that shattered and formed a country.
Carmen Toscano, Salvador's daughter, edited a selection of her father's material, spanning from 1897 to 1927, creating a narrative film titled "Memories of a Mexican". The film was released in 1950 to high acclaim.
